The twists and turns that led to uncovering Dayson alias Shannon just happened by chance . I was just helping Casey out with the anonymous guestbook writers at his site. As events unfolded, it turned out that the phantom guestbook writer was Shannon who created perfect lover boy, Dayson. Then, Dayson carried on a month-long romantic affair with Jessie and it would have continued if I didn't stumble into this by accident.
Casey solved half of the mystery . He has his story but here is my story.
Note: The only reason I wrote this is so that no one will fall victim to the lies and deception of people like Shannon. I didn't write this to embarass anyone but just so you can learn from it. Everything I write here is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Damn! Casey had anonymous guestbook entries again . It was entry 101 signed by a goddamn "sleezee" and wrote that Casey 's journal was lame and that Casey gave retarded opinions on people's guestbook. So I replied to that entry and attacked sleezee as a coward . "Sleezee" replied back to what I wrote and this time signed as James in 2 entries. I did a "view source " on Casey's guestbook to check on the ISPs of those 3 entries and found out that it had an alhambra.earthlink.net for entry 101 but a bradley.earthlink.net for entry 104 and 105 . I thought nothing of it, only that the person lived in California.
Two days after, I had an idea to check out Jessie's site. I figured, heck, maybe the person visiting Casey's site is someone who regularly visits Jessie's site too. While at her guestbook I saw that Casey had some hate entries there too. Anyway, I scrolled through all her guestbook entries (using view source from the browser) and got to entry 983 . Lo and behold! It had had the same ISP number as that of Entry 101 in Casey's guestbook. The ISP number was 24.41.2.154 (cbl154.pool001.ch001-alhambra.hs.earthlink.net). Both were signed the same day.
Looking through the rest of her guestbook entries that day, Entry 989 and 992 had alhambra.earthlink.net and bradley.earthlink.net respectively but it was all anonymous. Strange , I thought , cos it was the same ISP that Dayson signed in but why didn't he sign his name as Dayson. Those entries were left blank. Wow, this was an amazing find!
Dayson must be using 2 computers. What was he trying to hide? That was something worth investigating. Could the anonymous person in Casey's site be really Dayson? But why would he do that to Casey?
In my excitement, I immediately imed Casey and he was really surprised because he didn't know Dayson . So Casey talked to Jessie that afternoon and Jessie said it was all a mistake and that "maybe it was his cousin on his computer or something ". But Jessie added that she'd ask Dayson once he would get online.
I was also wary of being just paranoid and making a fool of myself. Maybe I was making a big deal out of nothing. But the coincidence was just too much. I am not sure if Jessie did ask Dayson because the next day, Dayson had a "car accident" and of course, I didn't want to bug her at a time like that. So I just let it be. Maybe the culprit will just go away.

But the goddamn person wouldn't stop. Another anonymous entry at Casey's guestbook. Entry 129 ...signed by Jadeite with a url , http://www.angelfire.com/co3/Memorial , a memorial website for Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris page (the website has since been removed but you can view the html here) and an email address: xxjadeitexx@spyring.com. And Hmm, interesting. I viewed the source and it had the same ISP number again, 24.41.2.154 (cbl154.pool001.ch001-alhambra.hs.earthlink.net) . Jadeite signed another entry right after that and it had a bradley.earthlink.net.
Dayson was on the loose again. So, I emailed Casey. While I was emailing Casey, Chris W. imed me and as our chat went along, he was whining how Jessie and he had a big fight the other day. Then Chris said he thinks Dayson was a phony and was suspicious about that car accident. When he said that, I was having those bad feelings again on the Dayson character . So I told Chris to view Casey's guestbook . Chris recognized the name "Jadeite" in Casey's guestbook. Chris said that a XxJadeitexx imed him the day of their fight and told him to leave Jessie alone.
This was indeed getting more and more suspicious.

Casey signed the guestbook of that Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris page memorial site . While I was viewing the guestbook entries of that site, I read the first entry and it was signed Shannon, "You're my cousin, yo." and had a comment, "Uhhh, cool page James!".
That rang a bell! James! Is it possible that it was also the same James that had signed Casey's guestbook (entry 104 and 105) ? Then I compared the HTML of the Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris Memorial page and Dayson's Page . I observed two things about the site:
- 1. Both sites used the same bravenet guestbook . (Memorial Bravenet Guestbook and
Dayson's Bravenet Guestbook)
2. It was so fantastic that their file names were the same too, using....frame01 etc etc.
I saw Jessie online and I was kinda apprehensive to IM her. What if I was wrong? What if it was all a coincidence? But I just wanted to know why Dayson was being all anonymous at Casey's guestbook. What did Dayson have against Casey? With all those uneasy thoughts, I still felt that Jessie needed to know . I knew she would be mad at me for digging all this but she had the right to know. Anyway, Jessie said that it could have been anyone using his computer and that Dayson wouldn't do that. She said that Dayson was being framed.
What if Dayson was really being framed? My gut feeling was he was an evil person . I followed my gut feelings even if it would hurt Jessie. I mean, if Dayson was some phony, it would be best that Jessie knew about it now than drag it on forever.
I was disappointed that she wasn't open to my discovery. At the same time, I understood that she loved Dayson and trusted him. I placed myself in her position. Well, I figured the truth will somehow come out. It was just a matter of time.
Somehow, I was really convinced that Dayson was a hypocritical ass and was just playing around with Jessie. Casey was still confused about everything and didn't want to think of it yet. But I was determined to nail the bastard.

That morning, Casey told me that Dayson emailed him and showed me a copy.
"Ok, listen, I DID NOT sign your fucking guestbook for fuck's sake. I didn't. If the IP's match maybe it's because other people use the same computer I do. I don't even know you so why in the hell would I waist my goddamn time signing your guestbook? I am not a racist for one. I would NEVER make a page like that, ever! My email address isn't xxjadeitexx@spyring.com for two. Even if it was me signing your book, I wouldn't be stupid enough to use my nickname. I don't have a problem with you at all... infact I kind of liked you for sticking up for Jessie and all... I wouldn't disrespect anyone like that and I would NEVER fucking memorialize Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. By the way, how do you even know my IP? I have never signed your guestbook before so you'd have nothing to compaire the IP in your guestbook to something I wrote before... I just realized that. Just know that it's not be signing your book. I've been getting a lot of crap since I started talking to Jessie, people pretend to be me in her guestbook all the time... kind of annoying getting your name smeared around for no good reason at all. Dayson."
Casey replied to all that and even signed at Dayson's guestbook.
After school, I went online and Casey immediately told me that he didn't really believe that it was Dayson anymore. He said the guy that had that memorial page was really weird and harrassing Dayson . Jessie showed a chat to Casey where Gashyrr Wasp (James) was calling Dayson names.
My reaction was "WHAT?" I felt like my jaw dropped to the floor. I didn't believe all that conversation shit and got so disappointed at Casey for believing Jessie and Dayson. The proof was right smack at their faces. I told Casey that Dayson was just saving his neck . "Crap, now no one believes me". I was so mad that this guy was fooling Casey and Jessie at the same time. How desperate!!! In my anger, I wanted to bash Gashyrr Wasp myself and beat the truth out from him.
So I did. I cooly said "Hi James" . ( see chat) He was very surprised that I knew his name. And I told him how I got it. At the back of my mind, I was suspecting he was pretending to be Dayson but I wanted to be absolutely sure . James seemed friendly and very willing to talk so we chatted for one hour and he voluntarily gave me a lot of valuable information. I didn't even have to wring it out from his neck. He just talked and talked. This didn't sound like the guy who harassed Dayson .
In short , this was how our chat with James went along.
1. I told him to stop harassing Casey and Jessie.
2. He never imed Dayson and never talked to anyone of us.
3. That the one who did all those guestbook entries was Shannon , his cousin
4. He never signed anyone's guestbook.
5. That Shannon used his computer a lot.
6. All he knew was Shannon uses Dayson's and his name.
7. That he saw Shannon making Dayson's website.
8. That their websites were similar cos Shannon helped him build the memorial site.
8. That Shannon IS Dayson.
I was thinking that Shannon and Dayson were partners in crime and were fooling around with Jessie. I also had this other idea that James pretended to be Dayson and that Shannon was an accomplice.
I told Casey about Shannon and he immediately recognized her name . That she was this girl he used to chat from the East coast pretending to be in some band and even had demo tapes. Casey was pretty sure it was the work of Shannon. I wasn't too sure if the Shannon he knew was the cousin of James.
But it kept me thinking. Maybe I should check it out. The name Shannon was kinda familiar because she used to sign Casey's old guestbook a lot of times . I went to one of her guestbook entries and got a link to her directory of images (The Angelfire directory is now deleted but you can view it here ). I found something even more revealing. In that directory, there was an image file of Dayson. Her old website http://www.angelfire.com/punk/FluxOfPinkBitch/frame.html (Shannon got scared, packed up her bags and deleted this site as well) also used the same file names like frame01.html etc like those of the Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris Memorial page and Dayson's Page.
So I was thinking. Dayson really knew a Shannon. But in his site, there was no mention of his friend, Shannon. Strange.

Before leaving for school, I wanted to chat with James cos I needed some more answers. When I imed Gashyrr Wasp , he didn't sound as friendly compared to our last chat. He called me bitch, cunt , gook bitch, pussy , hardcore. That didn't sound like the James who was a lot more polite and then he finally blocked my screen name towards the end of our chat. The James I talked the other night didn't want me to block him.
This was definitely James cousin, Shannon .
I emailed Jessie a portion of the chat I had with James where he said that there is no Dayson and that Shannon is Dayson. At this point, I still believed that James was Dayson and that Shannon was just helping him out with the fraud.
But Casey insisted that it was really all the work of Shannon and that James and Dayson had nothing to do with it. So, Casey and I had two opposing views who Dayson really was but had the same idea that Dayson was a phony.
That afternoon, Casey had a chat with James . This was the conclusion of the mystery. That's when James spewed out everything that there really wasn't any Dayson. That Shannon IS really Dayson. It was all a hoax.
So, my curiousity on the mysterious guestbook writer ended when Casey had that revealing chat with James. Casey has the rest of the story .
So what's the lesson of the story? I think there are two:
1.There's no such thing as love at the first byte or love at first link!
2. You'll never be totally anonymous fooling people in the internet, cos you leave some "fingerprints" somehow.
Don't get me wrong. It's possible to love someone online but that is proven through time, talking over the phone, snail mailing, emailing each other using the server email addy (instead of just web-based) and actually meeting the person in real life.
